Baby Dreams

I woke up in the best mood today.... I had my first real baby dream last night. I have had weird dreams for the past 19 weeks...but they havent necessarily been baby related. Last night I dreamt of holding my baby and cuddling him in bed with the sunshine poking through the window...it felt so real! ... amazing! I look forward to going to sleep again tonight so I can hold him and cuddle him again!

Its a Boy!!

More Big News!! We had our big Ultra Sound today and thats right...its a boy!!! There is no denying it... we saw all the equipment! Mike was so excited he actually high fived me in the doctors office... so funny!! ( not that he wouldnt have been excited if it was a girl...but you know how boys can be)



Here is my 16 week belly picture from last week when we were on vacation... ( Im 17 weeks 3 days now) Im not sure what is happening with my hair... but it was windy so what can I say :)




Overall I have been feeling great. A little heartburn here and there...but nothing too bad.. I think Im pretty lucky!! Just excited! There is nothing better that seeing your baby on the ultra sound and hearing the heartbeat... ( i'll add ultrasound pics later as Im too lazy to scan them in just right now... )

In other great news, my BFF Maggie had her baby yesterday!! Olivia Anne Stackhouse was born on July 12th after a long labor for mommy... but everyone is doing great!

Our Mid West Vacation

Okay..so much to update everyone on. What I have come to realize is that I am not good at logging on and updating this on a regular basis... I will try and do better!

We had a fabulous vacation in the mid west!

First Daniel and Rita's wedding in Rock Island Illinois.... Amazing! Their wedding was at the Quad City Botanical Gardens...beautiful. Unfortunaltey a big wind/rain storm struck suddenly right before the start of the outdoor wedding...but it was moved inside just in time! Mike was honored to be the best man.. His speech was really good too!

After the wedding, the Greenspan Family headed out for an amazing 4 day camping trip at Starved Rock State Park. We hiked, saw waterfalls, spent quality time together, and were bombarded by racoons... ( okay, starved rock has a serious racoon problem...evey night they would come out in full force and freak me out... and it takes a lot to freak me out)

After the great Starved Rock trip, we said goodbye to the Greenpsans and headed into Chicago to visit with my family. We had a great time going to the Chicago Botanical Gardens, Fourth of July Fireworks, Morton Grove Carnival, Millenium Park and the Taste of Chicago... not to mention the yummy Birthday BBQ at my aunts house for my Mom... Thanks Aunt Laurey!!

Okay... after all that... I went home and got back to work... Mike on the other hand stayed in the Midwest an entire other week. He spent 4 days with his youngest brother Jonathan traveling around to Minneapolis, Milwakee ( no idea how to spell) and Chicago going to baseball Games... they had a blast! When that was finished, Mike finished up his vacation in Chicago visiting his dearest college friends and watching more baseball... he is addicted!

Overall it was a fantastic midwest tour. We loved seeing our family and friends!!

First Baby related purchase...

So we were going to wait awhile to start buying baby stuff...but when I see a bargain I just cant pass it up! Yeah Craigslist.org! I found a reclining Dutailer Glider for only $70!! Brand new these retail over $500!! I know its silly, but I was so proud of myself...We figure this baby is gonna cost us a fortune so we might as well do our best where we can to save money..this was a good first start.

Im excited about a rocking chair...wow. It must be true what they say about pregnancy hormones...they make you crazy. It wasnt that long ago that I got excited about a night out at a hot new club with my friends... now its rocking chair bargains. We are sure in for some changes... :)

We just got back from a great trip to San Diego! Thanks Katie and Kevin for having us! It was so much fun getting together with our friends and spreading the great news. Life up her in LA is great... but we sure do miss our peeps! Love you guys!

We're Expecting!!

Hello Family and Friends! By now you have probably heard our great news!! We are expecting!! Thats right, a mini Greenspan will be joining our Family in December 2009. We are so excited we can hardly stand ourself. We decided to start this blog so that you can join in on this adventure with us. We will post pictures monthly of my growing belly and anything else interesting going on. Once we have the little bean, we will continue to update you with pictures, videos and stuff like that. Its gonna be tricky living so far away from most of you, but hopefully this will keep everyone involved and make it feel like we are closer together. We hope you check back often!
